Fr. Antoni Tatara
On 23-28 July this year, we welcome everybody to Częstochowa, who cannot go to Brazil for the 28th World Youth Days in Rio de Janeiro
Emmanuel community (www.emmanuel.info.pl) in cooperation with the archdiocese of Częstochowa, organizes 'Rio in Częstochowa!' - the European Forum of the Youth 2013. 'Niedziela' covered this event with media patronage. Indeed in Poland, there are many initiatives connected with the World Youth Days in Brazil, like, for example, the recent 'Polish Copacabana' from Płock (from 5 to 8 July) on the beach at the Vistula. Similar meetings are organized also in other Polish cities, like, for example, in Cracow. 'Rio in Częstochowa' was, however, invented as the European meeting of the youth.
First of all, Lord Jesus is waiting for the youth. It is going to be a meeting with alive God. 'Go and teach other nations' (Mt 28.19) - this is the motto of this year's World Youth Days. There is also the motto 'Rio in Częstochowa!' Among invited guests, there are, among the others, Otto Neubauer, Fr. Robert Sarno, Fr. Piotr Mazurkiewicz, Maria Pieńkowska, a music team from Holland 'Jacob's Ladder'.
One of the calls of the evangelical event is: 'There is music, there is a party!' Hence, surely, there will be good music and the common fun. Organizers encourage: 'Get prepared for dynamic music works, which you have never heard, excellent evenings, concerts and meetings with special guests!'.
The framework program of every day will be similar: breakfast, prayer of adoration, conference, adoration, 'talents corner', dinner, free time, workshops, groups of sharing, time for private prayer, the Holy Mass, supper and thematic evening.
